Health psychology
Health psychology is concerned with the interplay of body and mind. It helps us understand how our thoughts, emotions and stress affect our physical wellbeing — and conversely, how a physical condition or strain affects our mental and emotional balance.
As a Clinical Health Psychologist, I can support you in looking behind physical and emotional symptoms — whether that is the bodily side of stress or the psychological impact of a physical illness — and in actively working towards your own lasting wellbeing.

What can health psychology counselling help with?
- Psychosomatic signals
- When stress and sustained tension are already showing up as physical symptoms, such as chronic pain or digestive complaints.
- Physical challenges
- Support with chronic conditions, difficult medical diagnoses or changes in lifestyle, by mobilising your inner resources.
- Burnout and pressure to perform
- Particularly for those working or studying in demanding, high-responsibility fields such as the caring professions and healthcare.
- Building healthier habits
- When you want to change your everyday habits but have got stuck on stress management or on making the change.
Supporting healthcare and the caring professions
Health psychology is not only theory for me but deep practical experience: for years I worked with medical students, supporting them through exceptional academic and mental strain, in preventing burnout, and in preparing for their profession.
