KIP (katathym imaginative psychotherapy)
KIP, or katathym imaginative psychotherapy, is a depth-psychological, symbol-based approach that works with the power of inner images and imagination. It makes it possible, in a guided and relaxed state, to make direct contact with our unconscious inner world and to set positive changes in motion there. For there are inner impasses, difficult life situations and deeply rooted patterns that simply cannot be reached or reshaped through logical thinking or rational conversation alone.

How does a KIP process work?
- A relaxed state
- The process begins with a light, pleasant relaxation, in which the noise of the outside world quietens.
- Imagination
- The inner image is called up while you are in the relaxed state.
- Active accompaniment
- While you experience that symbolic landscape through inner images, I accompany and support you throughout the inner journey.
What does working with inner images help with?
- Mobilising inner resources
- It helps you discover and strengthen inner supports that had stayed hidden from you.
- Loosening emotional impasses
- At the level of symbols, tensions and conflicts that are hard to put into words become visible and workable.
- Deepening self-knowledge
- It can bring you closer to understanding your own desires, impasses and inner workings.
- Stability and integration
- It supports coping with stress, increases resilience, and brings the inner world into greater harmony.
